This ring is a reconstruction based on a medieval model from the 13th century. The original piece was made of gold and had a narrower profile. It originated from Dalsland, and the current ring is housed at the Historical Museum in Stockholm. The inscription on the ring includes the names of the Three Wise Men, Balthazar, Melchior, and Iaspar (Caspar). It was a recurring theme on rings from that era. The Three Holy Kings were popular saints and were believed to protect travelers and pilgrims. They also symbolized the three ages of man: youth, middle age, and old age.
It should be noted that on rings up to size 62, unfortunately, Melchior is not included because there is not enough space to include all the names.
Made of bronze.
