This ring is inspired by a discovery from Simrishamn in southern Sweden dating back to the late Viking Age. The original piece was made of gold and was relatively large for a finger ring, suggesting that it may have been used for something else. The original artifact is now housed in the Historical Museum in Stockholm. See: link
