Discovered amidst excavations in the harbor basin of the Viking settlement of Haithabu near Schleswig, Germany, the original Haithabu dress pin dates back to the 10th century.
Now housed permanently in the Viking Museum in Schleswig, situated near the remnants of the Haithabu settlement’s ramparts, the Haithabu cloak pin offers a glimpse into the ancient Norse fashion.
Our replica is made in bronze and quite true to the original.
