This penannular brooch is based on a find from Hablingbo on Gotland from the Viking Age. The original, like our replica, was made of bronze and is now housed at the Historical Museum in Stockholm, where it can be viewed here
There are also two other very similar finds that were also made on Gotland: Link 1 and Link 2.
