This Viking-age strap-divider is based on a Gotlandic find now housed at the Historical Museum in Stockholm.
The purpose of these was likely to provide a convenient suspension for swords, but they also serve as an elegant way to hang bags and similar items from the belt. Attachment to leather was often made with metal plates, although sewing was also used. Together with Se-22, you get a fantastic suspension solution.
