This Viking-age strap end is modeled after several findings from the 9th to 10th centuries.
The buckle being wider doesn’t pose much of an issue, as it’s perfectly fine to narrow down the leather. Up to a width of 30 mm is no problem. The important thing is that the leather must be at least 17 mm wide to be fastened.
The strap end is attached by riveting or sewing through pre-drilled holes. Three rivets are included.
