In 1910, the wolf cross was discovered in Foss, southern Iceland, dating back to the 10th century. The original was made of silver, and a picture of it can be seen here: Link
There are differing opinions on whether the wolf cross should be interpreted as a cross or as a specific Icelandic variant of a Thor’s hammer. Since this find is unique in its kind, it’s challenging to place it in an archaeological and historical context.
